Not very surprised, I'm sure armies occupying Germany after the war especially the US and Canada got a bit more since those lands were virtually untouched by war and a perfect spot to build a new life as the old was most likely destroyed.

I just feel sorry for all those soldiers be they German, American, British, etc who returned home to find their wife, children, etc gone after wooing a soldier or two.
