I am working on a monography on the battle that took place on the forest of Parroy (Lorraine area of France) between mid september to mid october 1944.
I already have a good amount of documents but I'm desesperatly looking after After Action Report, com log, Battle diary etc. Also a 1/20 000 vintage map of that area (7 km East of Luneville and 30 km south of nancy). I already own a vintage 1/100 000 and modern 1/20 000 .

The units I'm researching are:
313;314;315th Infantry Regiments (any bn or coy also).
106th cavalry group (106th & 121st squadron)
304th Combat Engineer batallion
304th Medical batallion.
749th Tank bn.
773rd Tank destroyer bn.
813th Tank destroyer bn.
79th Infantry Division.
XVth corps.

Any help will be very appreciated.

My father was in the 79th 313th inafantry regiment, I don't know his company. If you have any information regarding this, please send me information on how to research. I know he was in Normandy, Northern France and a couple of other places. His name was William David Warren, he was a Sgt. He never spoke of the war and now that he is gone I want to find out about his battles and company. He was wounded twice.

Hello SgtBarnes - I have my dad's daily diary from that time period, a lot of AARs and (I think) the radio logs for 106Gp and 121Sq. He was commander of 2nd Pl B Troop 121. If I can be of assistance just let me know. Mike

Hello Mike,

Thanks a lot for your very kind offer. I would be very pleased to receive a copy of your father documents.

Cordially.
