My Grandfather was the driver for Col. Charles L. Decker as well as Gen. McNarney. He would escort them from the commanders quarters in HAmburg to the Farbin Building in Frankfurt. He described the commanders quaters in hamburg as a castle. He was on guard duty as well at this castle and commented that even Gen McNarney would have to give password if challenged.

I am writing a biography of my grandfathers military career and can find no info or pics of the commander compound castle. Any info, especially pictures would be a great help. My Grandfathers name is Clifford Julian Bowen.

I would appreciate any help.
