Was the Red Army actually losing 500 tanks daily near the end of the war?

If you read all the battle reports of the Germans in 1945, there were periods of several weeks where they claimed to have been destroying in toto (and that's not Kansas) between 500 and 1000 Soviet tanks DAILY! Mostly with panzerfaust. Is this possible? Is it possible that ONLY at the very end did the Germans learn how to destroy Red armor at a rate it could not be replaced? If so, why couldn't they have done it 6 or 9 months before?

Daily action reports from various sources for February - early April '45. At Seelow Heights (Battle of the Seelow Heights » HistoryNet), we seem to be talking about Soviet losses of over 100 tanks per day in just one ongoing battle, for example. And there were probably 30 full-fledged battles going on every day, from Livonia down to Jugoslavia, during this period.

the German source Panzer-Archiv.de is giving the Soviet tank losses for 1945 as 8700,that would be an average of 67 a day .
for the battle of Berlin,the tanklosses of the 1st Bielorussian front would be 1997 .If one takes the Battle of Berlin as 14 april-8 may(?),the tank losses would be 80 a day,what would be not abnormal.
But I should not put much faith in the 500 a day number .

 

Soviet tank losses were surely enormous. But not 500/1000 a day, as the Red Army would lose 15-30 thousand per month, and Soviet tank production and stocks couldn't replace that kind of loss rate for 4 months.

Soviet losses were usually 2-3 thousand tanks (including all fully tracked armored fighting vehicles) per month, or 67-100 per day during months where they were on the offensive.
