Okay, every so often when I take some time to post and use quotes from someone's post, my own text and add links I the "page cannot be displayed" block.
Will one of the mods please explain why or what cannot be posted in this manner?
Is there a secret timeout that occurs if you take too long?
    Are certain sites/links blocked?
If you quote someone and break it up doea that cause this issue?

Please respond because its counter productive to the point of a discussion forum if a posters input "cannot be displayed" and wastes their time. I've been posting on forums since 1998 and this is the first one with this specific issue.

I not aware of there being any limitations as you described.

Does anyone else encounter this problem?

I did have a problem that if I took too long to write a reply it would "Time Out" (my wording) and not post. I haven't noticed that happening since the new switchover though.

Could it be your firewall settings? Have you tried this with a different navigator ?

One thing that may have changed on the new server is the session cookie duration but from what I read the simplest explanation could be that during the switch the "authentication" cookie got reset, it happened to me and AFAIK it's normal for a new server version to require a slightly different cookie. If so you will now be timed out if you spend too long without doing anything until you log in with the "remember me on this server" checkbox set, this will store a new permanent cookie in your browser's cache, AFAIK users without a permanent cookie will be timed out after a while, used to happen to me all the time, I'm a very slow poster, until I decided to overcome my itsec pro hate of cookies and set that flag.

I think this issue may be browser-based. Try using a different browser, or altering the settings.

Ha...caught you GS. The original post was 5 years ago. Don't be mad. Admire you trying to help a zombie.
    Peace, brother.
