It was attched to the 99th Infantry Division 23 Feb 1945 - 9 May 1945 C Company was attached to the 3rd Armored Division 28 Feb 1945 - 2 Mar 1945. Research the 99th ID and you should find good info on it, also.
The Combined Arms Research Library's (CARL) Digital Library had a single 786th AAR posted as of today. It covers the period 1 Mar - 30 Apr 1945. The link to the digital library is here: CARL's ContentDM Digital Library Welcome page Click on the "World War II Operational Documents" icon. I ran my search using "786th" as my search term. The AAR I retreived was uploaded on 9 Mar and contains 14 pages. I've noticed that CARL loaded about 100 docs over the past three days so I'd recommend checking back frequently for new uploads. I know it's not much but I hope it helps you. Regards John
