The National Football League season has recently concluded, and it has been a highly entertaining one all year. However, the shadow of a feasible NFL lockout has been hanging over it for months. The collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the National Football League Players Association is set to run out on March four, and little advancement is being made. Ought to the negotiations fail, then the season could stall. A lockout could very easily occur should no agreement be reached. I hope there is a contract shortly because this is an issue that money from a personel loan will not repair. Post resource - NFL lockout beginning to appear likely as deadline looms by MoneyBlogNewz.

A lockout could take place shortly

The CBA, or CBA, between the National Football League and the NFL Athletes Association will expire on March 4, and talks have not seemed to have made significant advancement. There's a 70 percent chance a lockout will happen with this, according to leading sports betting site Bodog. Bloomberg reports this. A contract needs to be “done right” even though National Football League Commissioner Goodell is planning on getting a contract worked out.

    Players hope to see funds

One of the obstacles in the way of reaching a new CBA is that players want access to team monetary records, in accordance with the Christian Science Monitor. The money goes all to payroll, in accordance with owners. Still, the math is something players want to see. There is one exception although most owners and teams in the National Football League refuse. The citizens of Green Bay own the Green Bay Packers that are nonprofit meaning the records are released often. Financial statements dating to March 2010 from Packers.com back up claims that payroll is too high. There is more likely to be injury happening when there are more games played. This is why, even though the preseason would be shortened from four games to two, athletes are opposed to changing the season from 16 games to eighteen games.

Lockout has not happened for 20 years

There were a 24-day player strikes that lead to one less game in the regular season in 1987 when the NFL and NFLpa could not reach a contract. There was a 57 day strike that happened in 1982 making it so only nine games were in the regular season.
