Badges of the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939--Germans.

    Here are some Badges awarded to German soldiers during the Spanich Civil War.

    Panzertruppen-Abziechen der Legion Condor (Tank Badge of the Condor Legion)

    Type (A) 1st issue badge in silver (made in Portugal) current value appx $3,250.00

    Type (B) 2nd issued silver badge in silvered metal. Appx value: $ 2,250.00

    Type (C) Solid Gold and only one made and presented which was to Oberst von Thoma. no set value.

    Spanienkreuz im Bronze ohne Schwerter (Spanish Cross in Bronze w/o Swords).
    Type (A) has cut out swaz and valued at appz $750.00
    Type (B) Has solid swaz and is valued at appx $450.00

    Spanienkreuze-im Bronze mit Schwerten (Spanish Cross in Bronze with Swords)

    Type (A) Cut out swaz valued at $800.00
    Type (B) Solid Swaz valued at $550.00

    Spanienkreuze im Silber ohne Schwerten (Spanish Cross in Silver w/o Swords. Appx value $2,500.00

    Type (A) Hallmarked 800 or 900 silver.
    Type (B) Silver-plated, some maker-marked. Appx value $1,200.00.

    Spanienkreuze im Silber mit Schwerten (Spanish Cross in Silver with Swords)

    Type (A) Hallmarked 800 or 900 silver, appx value $1,750.00.
    Type (B) Silver-plated, appx value $950.00.

    Spanienkreuze im Gelb mit Schwerten (Spanish Cross in Gold with Swords)

    Type (A) Hallmarked 800 or 900 and is Silver-gilt. Appx value $3,200.00.
    Type (B) gilt-bronze appx value $1,600.00.

    Spanienkreuz-mit Schwerten in Gelb und Brillanten (Spanish Cross in Gold with Swords and Diamonds)

    Type (A) Issued in Silver-gilt & Diamonds by: Godet of Berlin. Appx value is $30,000.00.

    Type (B) Dress Copy in gilt-bronze with imitation stones appx value at $15,000.00.

    This was awarded to Adolf Galland.

    Ehrenkruez fur Hinterbliebene deutscher Spanienkampfer (Cross of honor for Relatives of the Dead in Spain).

    Type (A) Issued in Bronze and is Olive-Brown in color appx value is $2,500.00.

    Type (B) Bronzed silver and is hallmarked appx value is $2,500.00.

    Spanien Verwundeten-Abzeichen im Schwarz, Silber und Gelb. (Spanish Wound Badge in Black, SIlver and Gold)
    Black--only 182 were awarded during the Spanish Civil War, appx value $150.00 to $200.00.

    Silver, only one awarded during the Spanish Civil War, appx value $250.00 to $300.00.

    Gold, None were awarded during the Spanish Civil War, appx value $300.00 to $400.00.

    In order of appearance they are:

    Spanish Cross in Silver.

    Spanish Cross in Gold w/ Diamonds.

    Spanish Cross in Gold.

    Spanish Cross in Bronze.

    They well all bravery medals awarded to German Soldiers fighting for the Spanish in a unit called: "The Condor Legion.

    They had--an airforce--artillery and armored arm. They were awarded for greater acts of bravery in battle--by the Spanish Government.
