Hello my Name is Ed
49 years old, from Rotterdam(the Netherlands/Holland)
I came across this site when i tried to identify my just bought Bayonet during my Holiday in Birma in nov/dec 2011 just for the sake as souvenir
They told me it was a Japanese one from WW2 but did not find a similar picture yet , was just curious if they were correct
(for which i need some help from your expert members later on for identification)

It all started as young boy ,we visited the beaches in Holland frequently and i searched through the beach/dune bunkers
Since my youth i am particularly interested in Atlantic wall fortifications and second world war in general
But also the 1st WW stories and sites nearby Holland have my interest

My main hobby is Photography (mostly in holiday's) and sometimes playing Call of Duty
By occasion i visit historical sites like Normandy or local fortifications in Holland and Belgium
or sites and museums in other counties when on holiday

Well that’s it for now
Best Regards

Hi Ed, nice username, I like the play on words. Welcome to this fine forum. If you need help with the bayo , you may post a picture here, maybe someone will be able to identify it.

Welcome aboard! By all means, post pics of the bayonet, there's a lot of experts here that can help you nail it down. And if you have any pics of WW1/WW2 sites from your holidays, those are always welcome too!

Welcome, Ed. I hope you enjoy it here.

Freedom is precious and many gave their lives for it. It is the duty of the future generation
to remember that sacrifice, and offer some sacrifice for themselves if Freedom is threatened.
