I thought you'd enjoy having a virtual visit of this former V2 launching site. Due to the advancing allies it was captured before the V2s were actually launched. It's near Mery sur Oise (Paris) . It was also bombed by the allies in 1944.

I "accidentally" came across this site after watching a documentary which mentionned that in the 1970s a group of kidnappers hid a prisonner there.

I always though that most V1+ V2 sites were in the north, but I only recently found out there were many sites in the Parisian area and even in the west. I will post a few more threads about other less known sites soon.

You'd be amazed by the huge amount of sites and/or projects. I thought there'd be about a dozen, the number is far more.Due to the liberation of France , only the ones in late war occupied areas are well known ,but without D-Day London would have been in big trouble with all those others rockets about to be fired towards the UK.
