Well Hello! Interested in the Malaya campaign esp in Johore, around Tangkak and Muar, as well as the fall of Singapore. Trying to find out a bit more about my maternal grandfather, GS Gill, fighting with the British when the Island fell 70 years ago today. I've grown up with the story and that of my Mum's birth in occupied Malaya, five days after the fall. Any ideas where one should start trying to track down this information would be really helpful. Im assuming it should be a British resource somewhere??? Thanks for having me! Cherzena

So, does that mean y'all have yankees in Northern Australia? Oh and welcome to the forums Cherzena. Glad to have you with us. Good luck with your search, and if you run into any dead ends, you might want to try our sister site, WW2T. It is heavily British/Commonwealth oriented over there.
