My Uncle flew as a camera operator (K-17 Trimetrogon) on modified B-25s (F-10s) from a base in India. He had said that he was in a Combat Mapping Squadron, and I know that he spent some time in Karachi. I'm not sure if Karachi was his home base, though, or if he was just there for temporary duty. Of the Combat Mapping Squadrons in India I've been able to research, none seem to have flown the F-10s. And, I can't find airfields in India that list F-10s as based there. Aviation Archeology shows that 3 F-10s crashed in India in October 1945, but that was after the war was over and the unit listed was a transitional unit, and didn't list the homebase. Does anyone out there have any idea how I can find out the unit(s) in India that may have flown F-10s, and from what airfield? Thanks! ~Mike
