    I saw the review on Facebook. I was impressed that the writer could pick and choose his favorite anecdotes. Having read the book, you and Mr. Marion deserve all the praise and compliments that come your way. Well done.

    I think that you need to make this book the first of three books. Sort of like the first Star Wars trilogy.

    My father, who is deceased, was Capt. James Hume, Jr. of Richmond, Va. I found reference to him in your forum. I would love to get a copy of the book "Old Hickory Recon" concerning Marion Sanford's memories of the 30th Infantry Division during WWII written with Jeff Rogers. Can you post information about how to obtain a copy?

    YES YES! I would love to talk with you! I have been trying to find someone from Capt Hume's family for about two years.

    Mr. Marion Sanford thought your father hung the moon and told me that he would have followed him to the very gates of hell, as would most of the men in the troop. Could we talk on the telephone and could Mr. Marion talk to you also? I will send you a private message with my telephone number and you can call me at your earliest convenience if you are agreeable. I have a photo of your father from the war. I think it was made in Germany near the end of the war.

    The book is available through me at present. We only have paperbacks left.
