I just joined this site, and think it is awesome. I have quite a lot of pictures that my Dad took when he was with the 26th General Hospital both in Tunisia, North Africa and in Italy. If I can get them scanned in (which will not be immediately, as it is quite a project), would anyone on here be interested in seeing them? Is there a place where I can post them? Walt's Daughter, Bonnie
Yes lots of us would like to see them....Welcome to the forums...One of the mods will tell you where to post them best..But we love pics...
Welcome to the forum. Plenty of us would like to see any photos you wish to share. I would suggest you put them in the sub-forum What Grandad Did in the War. Start a new thread there. I would suggest you store the images on a site like Photobucket or Imageshack, then copy them here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Someone is sure to answer. Glad to have you aboard.
Hello Bonnie and welcome to the forum Yes please post any photos you may have-anything to do with North Africa and Italy is of much interest to me Lesley
Great. I will get the scanner out next week and start in. He took quite a lot of pics, and I treasure them, but haven't a clue what most of them are as he didn't write on a lot of them. As I said, I won't get any done until at least next week. Granddaughter and grand-dogs coming this weekend! Bonnie
I am another who would be very happy to see the photos your Dad took. Don't worry if you don't know anything about the photos. We like trying to figure out the content of photos. There is another newer member who also posted photos and we had a grand time trying to figure out the when, where, what and who of the photos. So, bring them on!
I just posted a few picture to the forum "What Grandad Did in the War." The post is "North Africa Pictures." I have nearly 200 pictures, some from No. Africa and some from Italy, so I will be posting a few at a time.
