Two new battle relics but lots of mysteries and your help will be greatly appreciated.

    1) MK II model dated 1938 on both hinges. Light green outside and blue green inside (original paint) .
Is this warden , B.E.F. early war or other? etc...

    2) Model with no markings (no more hinges and steel rusted ). It appears to have been carmin red inside . Could this be a MK I model or MK II as well?

Skip, I'm sure the blue/green one is a MKI Brodie. Seem to recall that was the standard colour scheme.

Now I'm even more puzzled, it says MK II and 1938, so could it be a MKII with the old colour patern?

Think I'm right in saying the MkII didn't come into service until 1940, so it could still be an original Mk I.

I see, was the green/blue green patern used during WWI , or was it inter bellum only?

Here's hoping this thread isn't dead

Could anyone tell me something about my brodie?
Also, if anyone knows what kind of paint to use on it and where is can get a 7 1/2 liner. (I'm restoring it)

    Thanks in advance
