70th Anniversary of Victory in North Africa

Today is the 70th Anniversary of Victory in Africa right. Last Axis units ( 90th Light Division from Deutsche Afrikakorps ) surrendered to New Zealanders (because they were their oldest foes) in Tunis. General Alexander commanding 15th Army Group send this message to Churchill "We are the masters of North African shores" He took the title "Alexander of Tunis" later.

All fighting in Tunisia came to an end. Thus with the mopping up of the remaining pockets of resistance in the CAP BON area and in the hills west of BOU FEATURE the surrender of the enemy was complete.

Approximately 250,000 prisoners of war were taken. The enemy had large losses in material and most of the notable commanders are now our prisoners.

I read somewhere march of 6th British Armoured Division to Cape Bon was one of the fastest and swiftest maneuvers in this last stage of Tunisian Campaign between 9-11 May. By reaching Hammamet Rif before retreatring enemy 6th Armored blocked their line of retreat and forced them to mass surrender. Is there any more detail about this ?
