Here's my Collection Addition Of The Year 2014......the KwK42 7.5cm case from the War & Peace Show in Kent and the KwK43 8.8cm from the La Gleize Show in the Ardennes.......

Of course, both are relics with no known provenance but both have the C/22St electric primer as used for German AFVs.
As I have wanted examples of these for a long time to get both within a month has been a nice collecting experience. They are not easy items to find in the UK, and as one of my main interests is the Ardennes 1944 it's interesting to me to have these relics of some of the Wehrmacht's most iconic weapons in that campaign.

Sweet idea to have them next to the models so one can identify them at once. Good show!

Very nice. now just find a KwK 36 and you have the big cats complete. (The 128mm has a two piece ammo IIRC so doesn't count)

Apparently it was restored when deactivated for a museum display in Belgium many years ago - sadly, they didn't reproduce any of the markings. I still like it, though........

    Very nice, Martin!
    Congratulations!
I am at the beginning of this year I found even under the snow, to pass, in one bottom 9 scales from 7.5 cm KwK 40
For a little more apparent beating.

OK, so things have been along a little bit with the KwK42 Project. The shellcase from the War & Peace show has been joined with my Falaise Gap relic wooden box, and a friend located for me a suitable AP projectile ( deactivated, of course ! ) to make a nice little display...

Of course, the box is for HE and the shell is AP, but don't worry - that's the next bit of the 'Project' !

Another option would be to think of it as my Christmas present.
