Hi, My name is Zoran, I'm from Croatia.
I'm 38, and have been interested in WW2 from early childhood. I remember watching all the war movies I could see when I was probably 6 or 7.
That streak probably comes from my grand-grandfather. He was a gunsmith, as was his son.
My grandfather was drafted in the Croatia's homeguards during WW2.

In my spare time I am working on a panzer-general-like game. I would like to make a game I wanted to play - that's how I started.

I'm mostly interested in alternative ways ww2 in Europe could have played out - would like to include as much as possible in the game.

I like to play strategy video games and read about the military technology from the period.
I also like visiting all sorts of forts - in a small town of Valpovo where I played as a kid there were a lot of ww2 bunkers scattered about the countryside that I used to visit.
I also never let down an oportunity to visit a fort if there's one around.

    Glad I'm here!

Welcome. As Smiley suggested, read some of the alternative history threads to see various viewpoints. Best of luck.

    Thanks bronk7.
I've read the Guderian's "Memoirs of a soldier" a while back and liked his style.

There was an absolutely hilarious part where he described how they made first "tanks" from cars and cardboard (for maneuvers) and children liked nothing better than to pierce it with pencils. He wrote there was a great deal of disappointment when Panzer I was introduced :).
