My father in law was a chetnik, fighting in Slovenia in 1943-1945.

He passed away recently and in going through his effects, we came across the following badges, which we think were from his military career during this period.

I have not been able to identify anything similar and was wondering if anyone recognises them and can tell us more about them. Picture attached.

We think the second one is a standard issue cap badge from the Slovenian army but the triangular badge is a mystery.

    Would appreciate any help.

I know nothing of these. I just did some google searching and came up with this for the one on the left. Chetnik cap badge cockade variant 12. That might give you something to start searching with.

The one on the left. World War II Serbian Chetnik Ravna Gora badge 1945-46

This larger Serbian Chetnik badge was made in Italy of an aluminum alloy and awarded to members of the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland (JVuO), starting at the end of 1945 until the end of 1946. A smaller version was also made and had a hat pin attached to the back. These full-size badges were assigned to JVuO members who were then in Allied camps in Italy and Germany, but not to civilians. The triangular design, with an upright sword through the center, a human skull just above the hand guard, and palm and olive branches crossed over the handle, are similar in both sizes. At the bottom of both large and small badges is stamped “РАВНА ГОРА”
