Just finished reading "Oorlog in Zuid Limburg" written by E.H. Brongers (ISBN 90-5911-290-3).
Interesting read about how Germans intented to move quickly through south of Holland to take bridges over Maas-river. And how about 300 Dutch soldiers succeeded in delaying the attack of the 6th German Army, the 4th Panzer Division in special , with about 25 hours. The German paratroopes who landed on Fort Eben Emael and at the bridges of Lanaken and Vroenhoven (Belgium) would have gotten in serious trouble if the 4th P. Div. was more delayed.
And chief staff 6th was General Oberst Friedrich Paulus who got his ass kicked later at Stalingrad.
Book contains also personal stories/action reports of the dutch soldiers. Respect for those heroes.
