I'm a new recruit to this forum and a US Veteran from the mid-late 1950s. I had a secret security clearance and respect the need for integrity in honoring classified materials.

In the summer of 1945, there was a classified US Naval weapons project under development at Terminal Island, CA. From personal experience, circumstantial facts and my reading of military history on the pacific war, my deduction is that it was under the aegis of the Manhattan Project.
I suspect it included the deployment of radar controlled remote amphibians. I'm interested in locating the project or code name(s) but would also appreciate any unclassified information. My thanks to any forum member that can enlighten me. Dikraw

Have you tried contacting any of the naval museums or history organizations? The history department at Anapolis might be a good place to start.
