May 21 would be my father's 98th birthday. He was a WW2 vet who died way too young (72) in 1990. I think of him, especially when I talk to my mother, who is 90 and spry as they come. This was the best way I could think of to honor his memory.
Thanks for the comments and salutes. They really should go to him. Incidentally, my son shares the same name.
Lovely picture of your dad Lou. My father a WW2 Vet died young too at 65 in 1988. I think of him every day and honour him by posting his army career on the ww2 forums. Like your father, he will never be forgotten. Lesley
Thanks for the comment, Lesley. I would hope your father is never forgotten, along with the other vets whose names we'll never know.
That is a very nice picture of your father Lou. It is a shame he died that soon, but like all veterans who have passed on we will always remember them as well as your father on this upcoming Memorial Day!
