Hi All Newbie looking for information on Royal Marines D Battery 1st HAA Regiment MNBDO which I believe my Father Richard Jones served in with his pal Tom Porter. Please get in touch in you have any information, it would be great to hear from you. Best regards Richardj
Hi Richard What makes you say that is his unit? I only ask as the Royal Marines and HAA (Heavy Anti-Aircraft) Regiment don't really go together. The later would be Royal Artillery. Do you know what MNBDO stands for? Cheers Andy
Welcome Richard. I can't really answer your question since I'm on the wrong side of the pond. However, you might request his information from the MOD. You can read through this site http://www.ww2f.com/topic/26956-requesting-uk-service-records/ It will provide the steps you need to follow.. Also I would suggest that you register and post your query at our sister site ww2talk.com. It has a much more British and continental view than we do. Good luck.
