This is Don's first radio interview at 88 years of age. He talks about being a gliderman. The mistakes he mentions about the book are mixing up the new bride of the medics killed at Veghel. One of the guys was just feet from him at the Veghel Churchyard. The other was getting two scouts killed a week apart mixed up on dates of death. I didn't find the death report until after the book was published.

Btw, the Lt that was with Don when he was shot was Tom Niland (Fritz Niland's cousin a.k.a. Pvt Ryan)

    Enjoy

When Don talks about the Marvie tank, here is the place where it happened. It is the white building at the top of the hill.
