I am wondering if this is a authentic SS Dagger or if its a reproduction. I have done some research and it has left me confused because...

    1. The dagger has a Roman Numeral "I" stamp on it, leading it to be a pre 1934 dagger

    However...

The eagle has a very poor fit and I am a suspicious person.

    Please Help!!

Sorry but it seems to be a fake. Not to mention it's supposed to be silver.

I did not have enough time to post these photos before I had to leave.

Thank you Skipper for the reply. I was wondering if you (or anyone) could take a second look with the photos attached and let me know?

I'm with Skipper. (IMHO, having had a genuine one)
The fit - especially of the grip - is below par and the eagle is quite crude.

I agree that the eagle looks bad, but the blade looks good to me. Maby it has had the handle replaced? There wasn't a close up of the SS button.
