Genealogy website findmypast have just recently released on line the British Army Casualty Lists. It's a subscription website but you can get a free 14 day trial. I've already found my own father's entry for his injuries in Oct 44 and I know somebody else found their grandfathers service number due to the collection going on line. http://search.findmypast.co.uk/search-world-Records/british-army-casualty-lists-1939-1945
