Hi everyone, I didn't know were to post this picture so I took a guess at this thread. I took this image on a recent visit to Spain and I found this pillbox located on the eastern shore line near Pineda de mar, it is said that it was built as a means to defend the area from threats coming from Italy.
I remember when I was a kid and took holidays on the Costa Brava with my parents. There were a number bunkers/pillboxes built in to the rocky coastline which had their doorways bricked up. I used to peer in through the gun slits and wonder what lay in them and why they were there? The pillboxes are probably long gone...
