    Well deserved, but since the Nobel people sometimes make idiotic choices they kind of dilute the honor when they manage to get one right.

    Ooh, I don't know, have you heard Dylan's Christmas Album?
    I got it free with a magazine subscription, and among thousands of other maybe questionable records, it might actually be the worst I own.
    I don't mind a smidge of Dylan. I minded this quite a lot.

    Well deserved.

    Went to see him a couple years back. Great music just couldn't understand a friggin word he said. The songs are also quite different than the albums. He completely changes the melodies.

    I love Bob Dylan but I *really* love the stuff he did with The Band. "The Basement Tapes" is one of my favorite albums.

    LOL! The strange thing with Dylan is that everyone does Dylan better than Dylan. Many of the best and most influential songs of the period were by other artists doing Dylan. People don't even realize they are Dylan songs. Hendrix, the Byrds, Joan Baez, The Band, Johnny Cash, Grateful Dead - I could go on for paragraphs - all got hits with Dylan tunes.

    I think I've heard of this Dylan guy. IIRC, he was in the Traveling Wilburys with a couple other no names. Kind of a one hit wonder, really. Maybe the Nobel folks confused him with Dylan Thomas. :cool:

    I know that follows the Dylan award, but Bryan Cranston should have been nominated at least.

    In other news, Thor's girl friend got cheated out of the Astronomy award AGAIN!
