I was curious about making my life easier. Novel idea.

I have been, slowly, translating German publications (magazines, periodicals) using various techniques. Unfortunately, it's been slow going (worthwhile if I wasn't too concerned about content) and was wondering if any of you have a recommendation for translation software, organizations, etc. that could aid this process. I have a myriad of German magazines and newspapers that need translation for study.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    KJ

It's no solution for substantial documents, but I'll put in an honourable mention for the Google translate App's 'Camera' function on a phone or tablet.

Brilliant for quick, live, rough translation of printed text, and gradually improving all the time.
For instantly reading things like captions in Signal or trying to penetrate technical diagrams - a fine tool.
