Armoured in Camp Borden APR'43-APR'44

Hi Guys,
Over the last few years I have got my grandfathers war records and found lots of information. I was hoping to find Canadian Armoured Corps Daily orders for when my grandfather was sent to Canada to be a Tank Trainer/Gunner/Instructor for a year before going back to the UK for prep of D-Day.

Any ideas where I can get the detail on the specifics around why he was selected to go back to Borden to be a trainer? He was with the 12th Canadian Tank Reg, (Three RIvers Reg). He missed Dieppe, missed going to Sicily being sent to Canada and lucky to go in D-Day+3. One lucky Tank man to miss all that.

21st Army Group orders sent him here. Hard to find UK army group records.

I'm guessing you might not have much luck finding any reasoning behind such a move. More the same 'sent to' you've probably seen in his records.
I can point you at a chap who might be able to help with specific UK-held documents (Lee/Psywar/Arcre: Twitter: https://twitter.com/arcre_uk?lang=en - very reasonably priced copying service, and knows his way around the NA), but would be pleasantly surprised if there was any detail to be had there.

My own Grandad was in India for the early war, & sent to Scotland just as the DDay landings were kicking off, so I kind of like yours's progress!
