So, I went to HS with this kid. He was into politics and we all thought he would 'run for president'. Haven't seen or talked to him since HS but I am friends with him on Facebook. We attended a private HS on the East Coast.

Anyways, it turns out he is a Russia-loving Catholic Neo-Nazi Trump Supporter. Does that even make sense?

His facebook posts are all 'Go Russia for killing the Muslims while USA is a panzy', pictures of Teutonic Knights, etc. He does live-streaming commentary as well, all during the election, in Support of Trump while calling everyone else pedophiles and rapists etc. He is also anti-porn and very strongly a Catholic. I bring this up because I refuse to comment on his posts but, well, yeah.

This is his post today on facebook:

How's the temperature in hell, Winston?
    #Dresden #JeMeSouviens #Charlemagne
[Picture of Dresden after the Firebombing]

The responses to his post, my people I do not know and [HIM] marked as such.

-One of the greatest acts of genocide.
[HIM] Interesting thought: Despite the firebombing of the sanctuary city without any military assets, AH still refused to order retaliation with poison gas.
    Really makes you think.
--If he used poison gas at dunkerke..
--If Hitler simply let the attack proceed. He let the British retreat in a monumental peace gesture.
    --The only mistake he committed
    --that and Italy
--The British Expeditionary Fighters were amazed they got away. They compared the French on the beach, who were buying their evacuation time, to the 300 Spartan warriors from how fierce they fought. But the fact is, Hitler had Britain about to sign an unconditional surrender. He let them go as a gesture of peace. He simply wanted Germany to be the mainland power, and the U.K. as the naval power. He never wanted to go to war with England. He tried more than once for peace. Each time he was ignored and denied. He only declared war when he had to.
--I would have used poison gas in dunkerke and imposed an unconditional surrender to britain and france, ordering them to give up their entire navies under the threat of having their main cities gassed if they scuttled a single row-boat
--[HIM] exactly. This is straight up history. But then they f it all up with make believe stories about Hitler using poor tactics at Dunkerke (literally wtf) or his 'madness', or British GI level resistance on the beach. My favorite is Alex Jones' meme that the French sold out the British (LOLZ!!!) I still like AJ, though.

I so BADLY want to take a fish and slap them all upside the head with it and correct them on all their wrong points. Reading stuff like me really makes me question how dumb Americans are these days!

Some other choice posts he has made recently:

-If you think giving the Roman Salute is worse than the crimes of Fidel, unfriend now

-MFW waking up to news that Che's buddy finally went to his reward.
JOYFUL JOYFUL WE ADORE THEE! GOD OF GLORY! GOD OF LOVE!
    #ThankYouPinochet #SmashCulturalMarxism

-In case you thought it was wrong to gloat over victory, two points. First, observe the disrespect that a bunch of Marxist degenerates showed VP elect Pence. Second, remember that they still want to exterminate Europeans.

    ---------------

Am I right...or am I right? This guy is a nutjob and doesn't fall into the 'rural/uneducated' classification so many Trump supporters are thrown into.

Its almost amusing to see what he will post next, TBH. But also quite shocking/sad at the same time.

Im sure its an identity thing young people go through..(young people up to 35)
Also its a way of getting attention and respect through association...which, of course lies only in the head of the user...
Like historians, agreeing with everything doesn't get you any attention, only denying well established facts gets you attention...relies on the uneducated to gain the "Mesiah of knowledge" image.
Only LWD has that title (IMO)

No telling what events have taken place in his life to getting him to this point.

I had a school friend of many years ago in another state. He introduced me to 'wargaming' which led to many, many hours of fun and distraction. When we played however he always had to be the German's, no matter what. A huge Germanophile. No idea of where he is now or if he is 'normal' or has gone neo-nazi.

He has issues that I don't think he is going to pass through and that you won't be able to help with.

I have had a few "friends" on FB that I considered too extreme , "had" being the operative word. Just "unfriend" him, simple.

FB is not in itself good nor bad, it is how it is used. I stay in touch with about 500 former students, where they are working which is very useful when other students move into their area. They post their work , fun or not to see what they are doing. I even enjoy seeing their families. I do like political cartoons on either side, but no one makes you read their views and I do not believe anyone "converts " anyone else on FB unless they were so inclined to begin with.

It is not a situation that one cannot escape ! He is entitled to his views, he is not entitled to your friendship.

There are many like him on FB. When I come across comments like these I seethe, but don't respond. I realize they're beyond my capacity to help. Nothing I say will change their thinking. Best to unfriend them and go on with your life.

Very disconcerting to say the least. I have to agree with Belasar that events have transpired in this man's life that have helped to shape his personal beliefs. I'm with you though in the fact that just reading his horrific material makes you just angry and bitter at what is floating around out there. If you have children, as I do, it makes that content even more disgusting and vile.

I applaud the members here, who are all from varying backgrounds politically, personally, regionally, culturally, etc, who use this forum as an educational tool to produce factual arguments and deter National Socialist sympathizers and conspiracy theorists.

Sometimes I suspect that's exactly it ~ they post this stuff to get reactions online. Whether the reaction is positive or negative, it's still attention, and to some...that's the ultimate goal.

Plus I think many feel like they can release any pent up frustration (political or otherwise) in this manner. It's much harder to have these rants/arguments face to face with people, so posting crap on FB becomes cathartic.

I've been watching FB friends of mine, who are normally pretty mild mannered, totally spin out of control online since the election. The anger and frustration spreads like wildfire.

Its just very, if not completely unusual for someone from that school I went to go to go off the deep end like that. I am very much a Black Sheep in all aspects of my life, but typically people from my HS are all 'Wall Street' types and their biggest problems tend to be from overdosing on drugs - for a school as small as mine (100 or so students per grade) we get about 3 - 4 drug overdoes (deaths) in the 10+ years since graduating per class. No one is particularly religious either (quite a few jews at the school too) and maybe 1 or 2 people join the military after graduating.

He still lives in the same area of NJ, looks to live in a nice house (not sure what he does) but still....his 'political' views are quite extreme and he seems to be a Hitler/Nazi follower based on what I see him posting.

I have unfriended a few relations and friends due to their persistent posting of pictures and statements from websites. It is pretty obvious that they have no idea who is running the said website nor actually read the content. I have given up on pointing out to them whose bile they are innocently passing on. I am all for a good argument but will pass on 'Immigrant Given a Million Pound House and Rolls Royce While Brits Starve in The Streets'.

He's probably trying to compensate for having a small Pee-pee. I'd unfriend him for being an idiot. One thing that really does piss me off is when I see Neo-nazis waving or using the American flag, I had several relatives spend their youth killing the turds sporting the swastika and I don't think they'd take kindly to them appropriating the flag they served.
That said, you'll always have your 10% at each end of the political spectrum that are nut jobs, fortunately the other 80% don't buy into their twisted views.

Well part of that is how the statistics are twisted to fit the narrative. In actuality Trump pulled 49% of the white, college educated vote to Clintons 45%, so it was fairly evenly split. Trump really did well in the non-college educated white voter group 67% to Clinton's 28%. Trump pulled the majority in both groups just by a larger majority in the second group, so to say Trump's supporters were primarily non-college educated whites is correct, but it would also be correct to say he carried the college educated white vote.
Trump did carry the small city rural vote 62% to 34%. So you could say "Trump carried the uneducated white rural vote" and technically be correct. But you could also say "Trump carried the college educated white rural vote" and still be correct, though the impression given (narrative) is totally opposite. However, Trump also carried the suburban vote, not by as large a percentage, 50% to 45%, but that's not mentioned because it doesn't fit the narrative.
My personal opinion is that the reason for this narrative is in order to avoid facing the real issue, which was that Hillary was such an unpalatable candidate. This is partly based upon the fact that 54% of Trump voters said their primary motivation was voting against the other candidate and only 41% said they were primarily voting for him. It should also be noted that Trump pulled significantly more black and Hispanic voters than Romney did during his 2012 presidential bid.

I can see being weirded out by it, especially if he seemed relatively normal back in high school. Don't you wonder what kind of experiences pushed him in this direction? Or perhaps he was always destined to go this way, and all that was needed was time.

On a slightly related but separate note: When I first joined FB at the urging of cousins, a whole herd of former grade and high school classmates found me. Fine. Lovely. Until I realized that some of them turned out kind of odd. In a really creepy, 1am-private-messages kind of way.

That was enough for me! I got off of FB and didn't return until years later, when both of my daughters were on. I don't use my last name, and no one I went to school with knows I'm back online.

Now I have a whole NEW set of weird friends, but at least they are weird friends of my choosing. :D

Lost cause if you ask me. All one can do is recommend reading material. From my experience tho, that kind would rather "watch" than "read"....

    Small but IMO significant correction.
In the first group he did not pull the majority, to do that takes in excess of 50%. He did gain the plurality. In my mind it's an open question whether or not all who voted for Trump can really be called his supporters as well. In many cases they dislike and/or distrust him but considered Clinton even worse. I suspect no few of them would be relieved to see Trump impeached shortly after he assumes office.

Here is the latest gem from this guy, along with the responses:

Nazi FB Friend: FACT: 90% of European war efforts in WWII were against Bolshevik USSR

R1: Woah! Woah! Woah! Total madman! Don't use common sense and link Bolshevikism with Zionist profiteers! You're making too much sense, Jon. You might blow someone's mind.
R2: This comment comes as no surprise due to the lack of true history being taught in the USA. Communism was big in France prior to WW2. Many French were calling Stalin "Uncle Joe". Since I am talking about pre WW2 people are not taught that the Jews Declared War on Germany on March 24, 1933. In the year 1914 Russia’s war against Germany was supported by the Soviets. Bolsheviks not only condemned and opposed the government, but also took help of the Socialist Party of Great Britain to showcase their view on the Soviet’s decision of war. In 1944 Russia’s war against Germany was supported by Soviets, but opposed by Bolsheviks.
R3; thats interesting as i had always learned one of hitlers first moves in 1939 was to make a pact with the USSR and invite them to conquer into europe. hitler was exclusively fighting non-USSR european countries at first. and then later on fought both sides. but i guess you know some wwii secrets.
R3-1: The USSR was not created in the 1930s. It was only called Russia and Russia is a part of Europe. Ask any European!

Anyone want to type me up a response to send to him? >.<

I wouldn't even dignify him with a response. The more people that engage him in conversation regarding his hateful beliefs only adds fuel to the fire. The "Declaration of War" in 1933 was nothing but a headline. Classic antisemitic BS justifying the treatment of the Jews. The Jewish boycott of German goods was a direct response to the growing volatile, violent, heavily antisemitic culture that was erupting in Germany headed by the Nazi regime. As hard as it is to hold your tongue, and it is hard, don't bother.

The level of stupid is so high, that there is no point in discussion. The mix of part truth and blatant outright lie, combined with an innate inability to properly question source material, make it absolutely senseless to do so.

I'll bump this up. You have all witnessed the end result and the power of 15 years of hate propaganda. My own son spouts the alt right talking points. He was raised right by two moral Roman Catholic parents. He has a degree from Cornell. Head of the Knights of Columbus at his church. He voted to for thedonald to "Stop the Democrats from putting unborn babies into blenders. and "because "I hate the fake news MSM, liberals and their globalist agenda" and he thinks every Muslim is out to kill him. By the way, he makes six figures with owning his own business that has 10 long time employees. All undocumented guests from Mexico.

Propaganda repeated over and over tops logic. Helps me understand the Nazi propaganda machine. Today it would have had 1000 timesmore distribution outlets than it had in 1930.

My wife's uncle heard Hitler speak in Braunschweig. He was with his son. The dad shook his head at the lies. The son joined the SS and was MIA on the Eastern Front.
