    Posts in the "Clinton" thread took a bit of a turn when we discussed the 'sawbuck', which in turn led to some interesting bits.

    Here in Canuckville, we (i) used to call a fiver : a fin.
    Loonie is our dollar coin.
    Toonie is a 2 dollar coin.
    Can see now, how a ten would be a 'Dix' in New Orleans- French connection.
    The Dixie thing - that was interesting too.
    The glass penny was news to me as well.
    We had a dollar 'devils face' in the Queens hair, which is now a collectors item. Etc.

    Does Fort Knox hold gold. Are we going back to the gold standard etc.
