    Yeah, ok.
"It was the telephone used by Hitler to demand the deaths of millions of Jews, to scream brutal instruction at generals on the battlefield during World War Two and to order the death of his brother-in-law.
And now the Nazi leader's personal wartime phone is set to fetch over £400,000 when it is sold at auction next month.
The astonishing item, described as 'virtually unequalled in historical importance' was recovered from the 'Fuhrerbunker' deep beneath Berlin.
Among the last calls made on the phone by Hitler was to order the execution of his brother-in-law- General Hermann Fegelein for treason
The personalised name along with swastika on the red phone that was found in the Fuhrerbunker in May 1945 after Germany surrendered
It was picked up by a British officer who arrived at the hidden shelter shortly after the Nazi leader's suicide in April 1945 as Russian forces approached.
The phone had previously been used by Hitler extensively to shout orders at those running concentration camps as well as his officers battling the war around the world."

I must have this. It will sit very well alongside my unique Guy Gibson SatNav.

    Hold on a minute Martin!

I bought Guy Gibson's Satnav from a very reputable and trustworthy dealer at last Sundays Militaria 2017 show?
He assured me that it was the real deal...

So that was his personal iPhone?

Because they say it was found in Führerbunker, his air-raid shelter in Berlin which he used in the last months of the war.

Unless his adjutants were carrying the phone with them everywhere he went (he spent WW2 mostly outside Berlin), it should be assumed the phone was permanent equipment of that bunker, not his permanent travel "companion".

So the claims like it was "the telephone used by Hitler to demand the deaths of millions of Jews", "to shout orders at those running concentration camps" is just used car salesman tactics. Those people claiming that are swindlers or idiots.

Amateurs! Why own something of unknown provenance like a simple desk phone when you can own some truly priceless and unique personal hygiene equipment? I'm the proud owner of Adolf's personal shaving razor. I got it from his nephew's son-in-law's second cousin, who currently runs a Motel 6 on the outskirts of Albuquerque New Mexico. Best $4.99 I ever spent.

    Say it ain't so?!
"A telephone which allegedly was used by Adolf Hitler - sold at auction last week for £195,000 (£243,000) - has been declared a 'definite fake' by an expert.
The bright-red swastika-engraved telephone, upon which the Fuehrer allegedly issued some of his most terrible orders sealing the fate of millions, is bogus, according to Frank Gnegel, head of collections at the Frankfurt Museum of Communications.
He highlights 'oddities' in the phone's construction and quality.
'The actual telephone was manufactured by Siemens & Halske, but the handset comes from an English telephone,' he noted. 'Such phones were never produced this way. It must have been assembled later in England.'"
