Good morning forum! I wanted to say hello and I'm glad to join! I've been active on the ArmyAirForces.com forum for years but just joined this one. I track AAF Bomb Group histories for the 448th and 98th BGs and sometimes other BGs too, and the Pathfinder drop into Normandy. All of the records I've photographed from the National Archives are free to access and download, here: www.taracopp.com. There are more than 30,000 records there I've photographed over the last 8 years (I live near the Archives.) I also joined because I have a book coming out in March from Squadron Books that discusses B-24 operations in WWII - I wanted to ask the forum if they could recommend any WWII book clubs or magazines/websites I could connect with to ask for book reviews? Any advice is very appreciated! Thank you! Tara
My father was a Flight Engineer (Missing from operations August 1942) on 120 Squadron RAF Coastal Command, flying the B-24 IIIA.
Welcome, Tara. I too am a huge B24 fan, it's one of my two favorite WWII aircraft. A few years back I was fortunate enough to be able to board one of the few surviving flyable examples of the Liberator.
