Greetings to the forum community! A new online collection is here for your contemplation: http://thewaryouknowcurat.wixsite.com/the-war-you-know- May you find this free military history resource beneficial to you in your studies... Sincerely, Site Manager The War You Know
I do like the raw sentiment and context that wartime correspondence conveys. That said, the site appears to be maintained by a slightly paranoid barrister. every person's identity is obscured each letter comes with heavy warning and caveats "viewer discretion advised/reader discretion advised" each account has all time/dates redacted save for the year and all "problematic" language has been removed. Was it really necessary to present the word "D__n" instead of "Damn" among others? Interesting letters, and I can see the point of protecting the identify of people who's inner thoughts you are sharing here, but unfortunately it's not so useful as a source as it might be. Attribution underpins a citation with it's credibility, and we can't attribute anything to anyone here.
