I have just launched a new website. www.freewebs.com/modellingbymahoney I am offering commission work on models. so if anyone wants a nice christmas present talk nice to you better half and get them to talk to me. Its basically a side to my uni etc, a way of funding my very expensive hobby. keep on checking out the website for updates as most of it is still under construction.
Hi Mahross, Best of luck on your website, tried to see the prices but they were not listed. Can you provide a list. I see you have some Irish Ancestry. Do you pronounce Mahoney, with our without the 'h'. Over here in the emerald isle we don't pronounce the h, (its only in hollywood that they do!(e.g. police academy)
I can once its uploaded. just keep a watch out. Yeah i do have irish ancestry. My grandfather was a cockney irish. His father came over to britain in the late 19th century. Quite proud of my heritage as i've got a bit of everything in me Irish, Welsh, Scottish and i was born english!
Nothing to do with WW2, but what the hell! Mahoney Origin: Irish Spelling variations include: Mahoney, O'Mahoney, O'Mahony, Mahony and others. First found in county Cork where they held a family seat from ancient times. Here is your link to your coat of arms! -http://www.allfamilycrests.com/m/mahoney-family-crest-coat-of-arms.shtml
I'm with Mahoney on the heritage thing - last name is Callaghan. Various spelllings i have seen are: Callahan, Calahan, O'Callahan, etc. My name is pronounced: Cal-ah-han...its a silent G which teachers have failed to pick up on my entire life, they always pronounce it incorrectly: Cal-ag-han I'm half-Irish - my mom was born in England, both her parents were Irish (her father had been an orphan in Ireland, trained to be a baker, and set up shop in England). I'm a quarter welsh and a quarter english: dad was born and raised in Wales, his dad was welsh, mother was english. And the funny thing is, i was born an American!
How can you be a quarter this and a quarter that? Im English. My family is orgininally German on one side and Italian on the other but I aint 1/8th German etc... You are the nation of your citenzenship. I was born in Glorius England and I will be English till I die! No matter what these dam Irish try and do to me! Stiff upper lip, G&T's, Tea with the Vicar and taking pot shots at Frenchies. Thats what it means to be English. Blooming Irish. I still cant understand them... Cant even understand the missus sometimes and her accent isnt that strong... Or maybe I just pretend not too understand... Chin chin, I off for a spot tiffin! P P.S. Maverik... I is gonna blow your Germans back to the Stoneage this Evening. Kapitain Katuysa is in the building...
Its like Mulattos....half white/half black. You have the Irish, Welsh, Scots, and English. Irish, for instance are more known for their red hair and freckles. Some one with freckles is most likely Irish... So both my moms parents are 100% Irish - born and raised. Which means she is Irish - no other 'blood' in her. So i get my 50% Irish-ness from her. Same sort of thing with my dad, who is Half-Welsh, Half-English. Which is where i get my 1/4 Welsh, 1/4 English. I actually have dual-citizenship - US and UK. I grew up in England but was born in the US, and my parents are all 'English' as in Subjects of the Crown.
Well i'm british. Don't care what other people think. Its my heritage and i'm proud of it. As to a price list. I have just added one for figures. so go on and take a look.
Nice site, Mah. Need to start thinking of commissions for ya! Come to think of it...do you do Knight Templars/Hospitallers/Teutonic Knights? [ 12. November 2004, 06:15 AM: Message edited by: The_Historian ]
