Hi guys, I am trying to find information on Officer Candidate insignia worn by German soldiers, specifically the SS. I know they wore a bayonet knot and a double ring of lace on the shoulder board but was wondering if there was anything else. Also, if any of you have any of this stuff (Carl, Bill maybe?) I am trying to find out how comparable the double ring is to the tresse worn by NCO's, whether it is of the same size and pattern. Thanks guys.

Hi Stefan, sorry it took so long to see this post.

I don't know if they had anything else than what you mentioned. I don't think they did unless it was headgear wise.

Anyway, I will ask John R. Angolia this question and will let you know what he knows.

If your not familiar with Angolia, he has been collecting German Militaria for 60 years.
