As to the question at hand- Although Chelsea is ahead by 12 points, I'll give Man U a better shot. And Arsenal as a dark horse to make a run.

And "my" football team is running away with their league- Celtic up 17 points on the next closest, Heart of Midlothian.

Oh yeah... and Johnny Damon sucks.

 

Barcelona played great football and sent Chelsea out of the competition. Ronaldinho will put any defence in deep trouble. I´ll say Barcelona.

 

I'll stick either with Barcelona...but I have to consier OL...

they beat Eindhoven so easily and Juninho is also great this year.

I think it is going to be Barcelona too. They face Benfica next (Two Dutch coaches!!!) but how Benfica got to the Q-finals, I don't know...Sorry Za!

 

I am afraid that i dont agree with NFL players being the greatest athletes in the world. Half of the team plays half of the game...soccer athletes usually play all 90 minutes and just as frequently as NFL games (and sometimes twice a week, if they have champions league games). Professional Cyclists (think Tour de France) are the greatest athletes IMO....risking life and limb, racing for a month straight (and thats just the TDF and doesnt include the lesser known races they partake in) and to be able to do what they do is amasing - i'd love to see an NFL player make it up the Alpe d'Huez even on foot!

 

Yeah, but I'd like to see Armstrong, Ulrich, or Rasmusen survive an NFL game.

 

I think you'd be suprised - i'm sure they could be a WR and be fine - and all that leg power too would make them hard to bring down. And Ulrich looks like he belongs on an NFL team more then a bike, lol.

 

Oh sure, but being a lineman? Well, those lineman couldn't be riders either

 

You have to admit the Soccer fans are more passionate about the game and more physical, than American football fans.

 

I have to disagree with you on that one.

 

Footballers and cyclists wouldn't last one hit in the NFL.

A while ago I read that the knee cartilages are removed from NFL players before getting professional contract because these would one day be injured anyway. Is this true? If it is I´m truly sorry for these guys because this will definitely ruin the knees by the age of 50, maybe by 40...

????

 

I don't think that's true Kai. While a large percentage of NFL players eventually have all sorts of knee problems, I don't think it would be medically sound, or good for the player or the team for that matter, to do that. I'm pretty sure that a knee intact is preferrable than one without cartilage.
