Cyprus doesnt seem like a logical place to attack. Its location is right there near Turkey - it seems too far out of the way from anything to be of any importance. Islands like Malta hold a more strategic value due to the spheres of influence it holds - aka range of land-based aircraft, ports, etc - and i cant say i have heard of an invasion of Cyprus.
