Hello Matthias, Welcome to the forums. You could try "The Warsay Uprising of 1944" by Wlodzimierz Borodziej. The author is a professor at some Polish university. The book has a lot of facts and figures but very little 'personal' references. It is very detailed. As for websites, try these to start http://www.answers.com/topic/warsaw-uprising http://www.warsawuprising.com/
Don't forget that there were two uprisings - there was also the Ghetto Uprising in 1943. http://www.writing.upenn.edu/~afilreis/Holocaust/warsaw-uprising.html http://www.fcit.usf.edu/HOLOCAUST/resource/gallery/G1941WGU.htm
With regards to the Jewish Uprisings the original 'Stroop Report' was published some years ago. It includes a lot of info on the German operation and photos of the eradication of the Jewish ghetto. An appaling event and a very disturbing book... But of interest in the terminology used. Its also good to see the Jewish fighters making a herioc gesture of defence, albeit a futile one.
I'd recommend highly "Nothing but Honour" by J K Zawodny. I think it's far superior to Norman Davies book and is written by someone who participated in the uprising and also interviewed many of the key player shortly after the war. Out of print, but available through various online book shops.
