Default American Failure at attack on pearl harbour

-hi im new to this forum. firstable im really glad that i found the forum like these where i can discuss about the history.

- it is known for a fact that american failure at pearl harbour is:
- lack of technology/communication
- commander kimmel/short not being prepared
- japanese intelligence in preapring for the attack
- washington not giving enough information to the millitary in hawaii
i was just wondering if there are other failures that led up to american loss

The torpedoes at the time could not be used in Pearl harbor which is one of the reasons, I think, that FDR decided to move the fleet to Pearl. However the Japanese managed to create such shallow water torpedoes during autumn 1941 without which I donīt think they would have attacked.

More on them with the search function in the Forums.

lol how come all of a sudden everyone wants primary sources. Umm there should be a lot, check your university library or check to see if there are any books written by the people involved.
