Default Whatever Happened to the USS Panay After She Was Sunk?

Everyone knows how the US gunboat, USS Panay, was sunk by Japanese aircraft in 1937. I'm just curious as to what happened to here remains after she was sunk. Was her wreck destroyed since it posed a shipping hazard? Or are her remains still there today? Does anyone know or has she been lost to time? Hmmmm.

There is more to this incident then just the Panay and from what I have read so far it rolled over and sank. Nothing more on what happened to it afterwards.

That's rather interesting. Would be great if someone found her remains.
