Carl : Thanks !
When did you get volume 4 ? and what is the content of the book.....pics and text or just plain text ??? The name sounds a little familiar, but there are quite a few U-boat titles out there.

Its strictly on Uboat losses. No pix and long on words. Great info though.

Yup. Fortunatly, I can guess with decency, basically what some of it says based on certain terms used and names given etc.

I forgot to mention that my friend Juerg from Switzerland gave it to me last year when I stayed at his place for 2 days. When I get finished with it, I will be sending it to my friend Susanne in Konstanz, so she can finish doing some research on some Uboat losses herself.
Im lucky that at least the Germans I know are very patient people.

Yep, and the project she has been working on I think is on U 534. This was a Uboat that was lost in action somewhere near England, and was discovered a few years ago and raised. There is a site with many photos of it that Susanne took of the raised uboat. My cute friend is in a few of the photos.

Its been about 6 months since I last visited uboat.net but I think those were there. I know Susanne also send in some photos of shots she took of U 995 in Laboe and I know those are there as well. I need to get more time so I can return to that site as well for any updates on things. I kinda lost it when that forum had too many disssenters running off at their mouths--then for lack of proper time to visit.

Great stuff on that site Carl, of course you know that. Been really checking their pages on the Elecktro boats and also checking the www.uboot.net and www.u-boote.de sites and their respective forums. Some interesting questions and info being passed around.......by chance did you receive my private mail a couple of days ago ?
