Cool

Hello. This is my first time here.

I'm doing a research report for my english class. I chose to research the infantry weapons used during World War 2. I plan to get specifications and background on the weapons used by American, British, and German forces. I've looked around quite a bit online but have mostly found sites for WW2 video games. Are there any websites that have comprehensive information on infantry weapons? Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum Koyama!

Whenever I need anything from the internet and I don't readily know where to find it, I go to Google .

Failing that, I suggest you check your local library or if you have a steady interest in the subject, take a look for this book, both online and off:

German Weapons of World War II

It has a wealth of information on German small and heavy arms operated by the infantry. I'm sure there are plenty of other books on it too. And there are certain games (like Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin) that accurately model the various units from a very large base of information, so if you happen to have that title (I highly recommend it, by the way) then sift through it, for I have learned a lot from playing that game.

When all else fails, just post any specific questions here and someone is bound to answer them.

One site I recommend is:

www.wwiitech.net

The main reason I recommend it is because I write for it so have a vested interest, but some of the articles are very good (not necessairaly mine but some of the other writers are great) and well worth a decco.
