In readings the V2-A4 is the best in its class. I also would have to agree with the Russian T-34 as the best tank in speed. The best rifle/smg would be the German Stg-44

infantry weapons:

mp43/44 - the effect of this weapon is still being seen today. imo this weapon spawned a whole new category of "assault rifles".

Armor: Tiger. bigger was better :P

aircraft - mosquito

The Sgt-44 would be the best machine gun, I think.

The Flak88 would also be on the list of best weapons, and the Tiger tank aswell. I don't know about any airplanes, Spitfire, P-51 or B-17 probaly?

Out of tanks, I have to nominate these three:

PzKpfw V Panther
It was a good all-around medium tank, with fast speed and a high-velocity cannon. It was also easier and cheaper to produce than the heavy Tiger tank. I would call this the best tank of WW2.

T34
Also a good all-around tank. The T34 could be massproduced, had a good speed, a good cannon and it could also be modified; in 1944, with the arrival of heavier German tanks of the types PzKpfw V Panther and PzKpfw VI Tiger, the T34 was upgraded to carry an 85mm cannon, which was capable of battling both of these German tanks effectively.

Sturmgeschütz
The StuG assault gun -especially the StuG III ausf. G- was one of the most cost-effective German weapons. Being built on the PzKpfw III chassis and later the PzKpfw IV chassis, it was cheaper to produce than the PzKpfw III and PzKpfw IV respectively. It was especially priceworthy constructing on the PzKpfw III, as the chassis of the PzKpfw III normally -if not always- carried a 50mm gun, which started to become obsolete already in late 1941 on the Russian front, with the arrival of the heavier T34 and KV tanks. The StuG, however, had superior firepower over the PzKpfw III with its 75mm gun.

Ultra and Magic. If it had not been for them battles would have turned out differently. For example, the battle of Midway would have been a disaster with the potential loss of the American carriers.

I doubt the Japanese would have had any odds to defeat the U.S. with its superior natural resources, even if they had won the battle of Midway.

What were the Ultra and Magic anyways? Carriers, planes, submarines?

I didn't say they would have won the war. I said battles would have turned out differently. If it wasn't for Magic, the Americans would not have learned that the target for the Japanese was Midway. The possibility that they would have fallen for the Aleutian Island invasion ruse would have been strong.

Ultra and Magic are the names given to the intelligence gathered from decrypting enemy communications. Code breakers.

Yeah, I know that, but I wanted to add that nonetheless.
