Cool

Armour's not my area, but have you tried

To me, a 17 pounder would seem a bit heavy to mount and fire from a Half-track?

Well, good news and bad news. The good news for you is I have photos (front quarter two shots, side one shot, rear one shot) of the vehicle you are interested in. Now the bad news. Given the problems I've been having posting pictures it is unlikely I can scan and post them. The book they are in has been out of print for about 35 years.
More bad news. The vehicle is built on the Bussig-NAG 5 ton half-track chassis (aka BN 1 8 or Sdkfz 6). But, some more bad news, the road wheels used are of a unique pattern to the vehicle (can you say make a pattern and cast them in resin?). You probably could use Sdkfz 8 tracks from a Tamiya kit without problem and possibly the drive sprocket but, the rest would require scratch building.

Even easier Mr Gardner, email them to me and I'll host them for you. I can host about 10mb at this stage so if you keep the picture size around 800 x 600 (please don't send me a 2MB scans!! ), I'll put them up on this thread.

PM me for my email if you're interested.
