Gents,

Can you give me a production figure for the M3A2 halftrack and the period during which this unit was built?

This is from Hunnicutt's book on the American Half-Track:

"After evaluation, the T29 and T31 were designated as the half-track cars M3A2 and M5A2 respectively. The M3A2 was classified as Standard and the M5A2 was Substitute Standard. Like the earlier International Harvester vehicles, the latter was intended for the Lend-Lease program. Production of the new half-track cars was scheduled for 1 March 1944. However, changing requirements terminated all new half-track production and only the pilot vehicles were completed."
