Default Kg/1940 light machine gun


I heard this weapon was in use with the pre WW2 Whermacht before the MG34 took place, Did it still see WW2 action?.

Yes it did. Many weapons from in between the two world wars. Did still see WW2 action

Saw action till its replacement by the FG42 bother were a light machine gun where are the MG34 generally was a stationary or semi mobile heavy machine gun such as the .30 calibier.
