How wrong is this Airborne Rec jeep

Bumper & gun are , but would it have long range tanks as well

It's a bit of a mish-mash alright. It appears to be based on the SAS jeep as used in NWE. These heavily armed jeeps were used behind enemy lines by both UK and French and Belgian SAS troops. The twin Vickers 'K' guns on the rear pintle seem erroneous, but I'm sure that some jeeps did have them. Probably among the Popski's Private army vehicles thet were fielded in North Africa and Italy. Edit: I really should look at the pictures I used, the centre photograph of a Free French jeep has the rear pintle mounted.
The bumper was only cut down to enable the jeep to fit into a British Horsa Mk1 glider, I don't think that this machine could ever have been transported in such a manner. The spare wheel was also repositioned from the rear to the front and the pioneer tools were also removed for the same purpose. The special racks on the front mudguards and the bonnet are however correct for an air-portable jeep but probably wrong for an SAS vehicle. In one of the shots the spare wheel is mounted on the bonnet. The long range fuel tanks were a feature of the SAS machine though. The crew are also interesting as the cap badge on the red beret is obviously Parachute regiment and not SAS, although the SAS did wear the airborne red beret during the early years of their establishment.
So a real Curate's egg of a model, good in parts.

I thinking the same thing bodston looks more like a NWE SAS jeep , but you would think for £130.00 they could get it right

that's seems a bit pricy, but what do i know!

Ther other was called Vera.
