Since we are seeking accuracy, the Erma mp40 is not the Schmeisser. The mp40 was misnamed during the war by US forces and the incorrect name stuck.

Yes, the MP38 and MP40 had 32-round detachable box magazines.

the magazine did hold 32 rounds - however it would have a tendancy to jam if they were filled to capacity. Usually they only loaded about 30
